So I read that as
√(6x^2) = 2-x
square both sides
6x^2 = 4 - 4x + x^2
5x^2 + 4x - 4 = 0
using the formula
x = (-4 ± √96)/10
= (-2 ±2√6)/5
I tested both answers in the original equation.
