a. Volume of rectangular solid
V = L*w*h
720 = L * 18 *h
40 = Lh
h = 40/L
L = 40/h

b. without another dimension, either height or length, there is more than one answer

What times 18 would give you 720?
720 divided by 18 = 40
40*18 = 720
40 = length

I don't get what your trying to say, I mean 40*40*18 does not equal 720.

k in easier terms just go 720 divided by 18 and there u have ur length which is 40.
