check your typing.
Did you forget any + or - signs between the first 3 terms ?
The way it reads makes no sense.

Use the ^ sign to indicate exponents
x^3 - 4x^2 - 3x + 18 = 0
since 3 is a root,
then x = 3 , or x-3 is a factor
using either long division or synthetic division,
x^3 - 4x^2 - 3x + 18
(x-3)(x^2 - x - 6) = 0
(x-3)(x-3)(x+2) = 0
so x = 3 or x = -2
x^3 - 4x^2 - 3x + 18 = 0
