                simifly. Use the commutative associative and distributive properties.
1. 175 + 37 + 25
2. 50(11 x 2)
3. 12/(99
can someone explain to me how to do these please?

    200+37 = 237
50*2 = 100
100*11 = 1100
[12/(100-1)] [(100+1)/(100+1))]
[1200 +12]/(10,000-1)
1212/9,999 etc
.1212121212........

    proof
.12 + .12/100 + .12/10^4 + .12/10^6 ....
geometric series, g = .12
term 1 = .12/100
term n = term(n-1)*1/100
so r = 1/100
so 1 - r = 100/100 - 1/100 = 99/100
sum = g/(1-r) = 12/100 /(99/100) = 12/99
