It is not true. Tariffs put taxes on imported goods. They have nothing to do with patriotism.

That site defines and describes tariffs in far more than 100 words.
You can also look up patriotism for a definition.
Just defining the two terms -- patriotism and tariffs will take much of the 100 words. Then you can show how patriotism has nothing to do with tariffs and why Americans buy certain goods.
