6+x=2x-14. I'm not to sure how to solve this type of equation.

6+x=2x-14

First get the unknown quantitites on one side of the equation. Subtract x from both sides.

6 + x = -14

Then get the known quantities on the other side. Add 14 to both sides.

20 = x
