solve using the addition and multiplication principle 2-2y-5y<65.

I am totally stressed and burned out. I'm sorry. I just can't seem to function anymore. Please help. Thank you so much.

combine like terms
2 - 7 y < 65
add -2 to both sides
-7 y < 63
divide both sides by 7
-y < 9
multiply both sides by -1
change direction of arrow when multiplying by negative number
y > -9
check with y = -8
2 - 2(-8) -5(-8)
2 + 16 + 40 = 58 yes less than 65
