Halleys Comet. Rmin =8.9 x 10^10 m
Period of orbit = 2.4 x 10^9 sec
1)What is value of K for Halley's comet?
2)Whats the average radius of Halleys comet orbit?
3)What is value of the aphelion(Rmax) for halley's comet.(Rmin is perihelion. Recall Rave= [{Rmin +Rmax}/2]
4) what is Rmax/Rmin.

You can answer this by using Kepler's third law for planets (objects orbiting the sun), but I don't what you mean by the K value. The Law will tell you the semimajor axis for a given period. That is the same ars tha average radius.

You can answer this by using Kepler's third law for planets and comets (objects orbiting the sun), but I am quite what sure you mean by the K value. The Law will tell you the semimajor axis "a" for a given period T. The semimajor axis is the same as tha average radius.
T^2 = k a^3
k = 1 if a is in au and T is in years
T^2 = k a^3
k = 1 if a is in au and T is in years
