you need brackets like this
(1+1/√3) ÷ (1-1/√3)
now multiply both the top and the bottom by √3
(√3 + 1) / (√3 - 1)
now you could rationalize it by multiply top and bottom by √3+1
for
(3 + 2√3 + 1)/(3-1)
=(4 + 2√3)/2
= 2 + √3
(1+1/√3) ÷ (1-1/√3)
now multiply both the top and the bottom by √3
(√3 + 1) / (√3 - 1)
now you could rationalize it by multiply top and bottom by √3+1
for
(3 + 2√3 + 1)/(3-1)
=(4 + 2√3)/2
= 2 + √3
