Battery supplies a potential difference of 6v
At a certain temperature the current in the 45ohms resistor is 0.08A

How would you calculate the potential difference across the thermistor?

It depends on how the thermistor is connected. If connected in series:

Vtherm+Vr=6
Vtherm+45*.08=6
