a cold front moves in at noon and in 5 hours, the temperature had dropped 23%. the temperature at 5:00 p.m. was 14%. let x be the temperature at noon. write an equation to find x.

I will assume that you meant ° (degrees) instead of % ( percent).

I will also assume that the relationship is linear, or can be represented by a straight line.

so x - 23 = 14
x = 37
