Yes! :) what about this one: The cheese manufacturers sell the cheesse to food stores. would the verb be sell and thpredicate noun be cheese??

Ms. Sue
The verb is "sell." But it's not a linking verb so cannot be followed by a predicate noun. Its direct object is "cheese."
