i need to enclose a 250 square ft section with a fence that cost $1.50 per yard what dimensions would I use to minimize the cost?

The minimum perimeter to enclose a fixed area is obtained with a circle. The cost per yard of the fence will not affect that fact.

If you want a rectangular yard, to cover a given area with minimum perimeter, it should be square
