Look at your table and see what x is when y=2. It is right there at the top. A "zero of the function" is where y = 0. Look at your second row of the table, below (-3,2) to see the x value at that point.

Thank you, I think I was just over thinking the questions. One more; how to I find the y intercept of the function?

The function is not a straight line, but since you are talking about the y-axis intercept, that is where x = 0, and they tell you that the value of y there is 5.
