how would you sent up aluminum carbonate --> aluminum oxide + carbon dioxide.

im guessing AlCo3 --> AlO3+Co2 but i don't think that's right

Al is +3. Carbonate is -2. Formula is Al2(CO3)3
Aluminum oxide is Al2O3.
