Do you know algebra?
If so, then let the number of people surveyed be x

then .75x = 480
x = 480/.75 = 640

check: take 75% of 640

480/3= 160
160 is 1/4
160 x 4= 640
640 is whole.

To find the answer, you can set up a proportionate equation using the information given.

Let's assume the total number of people surveyed is represented by 'x'.

According to the information, 75% of the people surveyed attended a movie at least once a month. This can be written as 75% of 'x' (or 0.75x).

Therefore, you can set up the following equation:

0.75x = 480

To solve for 'x', divide both sides of the equation by 0.75:

x = 480 / 0.75

Performing the division, you get:

x = 640

So, the total number of people surveyed is 640.
