it is very easy. You have to know what a solute is (the substance being dissolved), and the solution (the combination of solute and dissolving solvent).

concentration= amountofsolute/totalamountsolution.

There are many ways to express concentration, percent, Molarity, molalaity, and in medicine, weight/volume, weight/weight, or even volume/volume. Some of those are in fact, tricky.
