Question
Transverse waves propagate at 17 {\rm m/s} on a string whose tension is 15 {\rm N}.

Isn't the first law of strings (the law of tension)
velocity = constant*sqrt TEnsion ?
if so, velocity will increase by a factor of sqrt (50/15)
