One important geographic feature I learned about is the Himalaya mountains, which run along the border of northern India and Nepal and are important because they affect climate and contain the highest peaks in the world. Another physical feature is the Ganges River, which flows across northern India into the Bay of Bengal and supports millions of people with water and fertile farmland. A country located in this region is China, which is found in Eastern Asia on the large Asian mainland and is important to know because it covers a huge area with many different landscapes. Japan is an island country east of the mainland in the Pacific Ocean, and seas like the Yellow Sea and the Bay of Bengal help separate and connect the countries in this region.
