It is 5 divided by 8, which you could do on a calculator or by manual division.
At school I had to learn all the decimal multiples of 1/8
so
0.125
0.250
0.475
0.500
0.675
etc.

All you have to do to turn a fraction into a decimal is divide the numerator by the denominator. 5 divided by 8 = 0.625.
