A single strip of white athletic tape around my wrist represents reliability in my life. As a 9th grade slot receiver who does stuff right, reliability means showing up on time, running crisp routes, and making the simple plays my team counts on. Early in the season I dropped a short pass that could have sealed a win, so I stayed after practice for extra route reps and watched film until I stopped making the same mistakes; that experience taught me that consistency matters more than highlight plays. Wrapping the tape the same way before every practice and game is a small ritual that keeps me focused on fundamentals. The tape shows who I am: someone who prepares, earns teammates’ trust through steady effort, and contributes quietly by doing the little things that add up. Every time I catch a ball with that strip on my wrist I’m reminded that being reliable is my best way to help the team.
