I wake up every morning feeling proud to be Brazilian — the colors, food, music and warmth of people make even difficult days bright. I love walking by the beaches, listening to samba and sharing meals with family, though I also feel frustrated by deep inequality and insecurity that make life harder for many.

My daily life is full of small joys: neighborhood gatherings, futebol with friends, and the comfort of traditional dishes. At the same time I worry about inconsistent public services and the bureaucracy that slows progress, but community solidarity often fills in the gaps.

I take part in our democracy by always voting and encouraging others to do the same, attending local town-hall and municipal council meetings, and working with my neighborhood association to push for better sanitation and safer streets. I’ve volunteered on a public-health campaign, signed petitions, and joined participatory-budgeting discussions so my community’s needs are heard and acted on.
