Both have been poetically written about as having waves -- waves of water on the sea and waves of grass on the prairie. Both provide wide varieties of habitat for many creatures.

Sea: fish, sand, in the winter turns to ice, swimming, seashells
Prairie: deer, dirt, in the winter snow, running, rocks
Sea/Prairie: both have plants, both have people, both have habitats, both have animals
Still need two more that they both have.
