Dear Editor,

It has come to my attention that a number of people on the school board wish to implement a school uniform policy for the Ocean Heights School District. As a concerned 6th-grader, I do not agree with this policy. Clothing is an expression of one's individuality. If you rob someone of that, you rob them of their mind and their freedom. This is an issue my fellow students and I feel passionately about. Please do not implement the school uniform policy.

Sincerely,

Jimmy B. Smith, 6th Grade

A. a fellow student who enjoys wearing different clothes to school

Explanation: The letter opposes school uniforms because they limit personal expression; a student who likes wearing different clothes would share that view.
