Hello - I am having trouble with verbs and linking verbs...can you tell me if these are correct? I also have to pick out the predicate noun/adjective.

1. In northern Canada, the countryside seems peaceful. (LV= seems, PA = peaceful)

2. The mountain air smells fresh. (LV= smells, PA= fresh)

3. The northern breezes feel crisp. (LV=feel PA=crisp)

4. The water taste clean. (LV=tastes, PA=clean)

5. Wildflowers look lovely on the hillsides. (LV=look, PA=lovely)

6. Mounties on horseback are a common sight. (LV=are, PA=horseback)

7. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police's nickname is the Mounties. (LV= is PA = Mounties)

8. These Mounties look impressive in their brown jackets. (LV=look, PA = impressive)

9. Their uniforms are a symbol of their authority. (LV=are PA=impressive)

Your verbs are all correct except you missed the helping verbs in 17 and 18.
