My mom is my role model because she has shown me, by example, what strength, kindness, and perseverance look like: she works hard, stays calm under pressure, and always puts our family’s needs first while still encouraging me to follow my own path. I chose her because of the small everyday lessons she’s taught me—honesty, responsibility, and how to treat others with respect—and because of the sacrifices she has made so I could have opportunities she didn’t. I have, of course, known her my whole life in person, so my admiration comes from seeing her choices and habits up close rather than through the media. Her steady support and practical wisdom continue to shape who I am and the goals I set for myself.
