In this unit, we reviewed some different learning styles and how they are addressed by various modes of instruction. Now it’s time to apply these ideas to the most important person of all—you! This is a writing assignment intended to make you think more deeply about your own learning process and how it could be improved.

You are going to write four very short paragraphs addressing the following questions. When you are finished you should have a very simple narrative about your learning and how it could be better.

1. Choose one of the learning styles and how it describes you.
2. which type of instruction meets your learning needs?
3. think about your education, say one way that your learning needs could be met better.
4. use your adult skills to assess your situation! Based on your findings about yourself, write a brief, simple sentence on what you could do to help your learning. How could this ability also be used in life outside of school?

I am a visual learner. I learn best when I see pictures, charts, or videos. Reading long text is harder for me.

Lessons with pictures and short videos help me most. A teacher who shows diagrams or slides helps me learn.

My learning could be met better by using more pictures and short videos in class.

I can plan my time and ask for help when I need it. I will ask for pictures and make a short study plan, and this will help me learn new tasks at work or at home.
