BSmelling salts were also used to revive ladies in Victorian times who fainted. This was a common occurrence because fashion demanded women wear corsets which squeezed their ribs and made breathing deeply impossible.
CSubsequently, injured players are just taped up and sent back into the game. It seems as though team owners are more interested in financial gain and winning games than taking care of their players. This is an example of corporate greed.
DEvidently, according to Source #1, in 2015, players had more than 217 concussions during practices and games! We now know that concussions can cause permanent brain damage over time. This should be avoided at all costs.
