10) Roosevelt starts by saying that fear is the real enemy to get everyone to listen and pay attention. The main idea of the speech is to calm people, explain how he will fix the economy, and ask everyone to work together to solve the problems.

11) In the body Roosevelt moves from describing how bad things are to saying what he will do to help, so readers can follow his plan. For example he first shows the problems like job loss and bank trouble and then he tells the steps the government will take to make things better.

12) Roosevelt makes a strong ending by asking people to be brave, promising action, and repeating the main idea so it sticks in their minds. I can use this in my speeches by ending with a clear request for what I want my listeners to do and a short line that sums up my main point.
