of people who live nearby. Community gardens are important because they provide fresh

First, community gardens give people access to fresh and healthy foods. Many families may
not live close to a grocery store. By growing fruits and vegetables in a shared space,
everyone can have food that is fresh and nutritious.
Second, community gardens help the environment. Plants clean the air by taking in carbon
dioxide and releasing oxygen. Gardens also attract bees and butterflies, which help pollinate
other plants. Some gardens even turn food scraps into compost, which enriches the soil.
Finally, community gardens bring people together. Neighbors who might not normally talk
become friends when they work side by side. People learn from one another, share
responsibilities, and take pride in the garden they helped create.
Community gardens show how people can work together to make their neighborhoods

Community gardens are important because they give people fresh food, help the environment, and bring neighbors together. I think community gardens are a great idea for any neighborhood. In this essay I will explain three reasons why they matter.

Fresh and healthy food
First, community gardens provide fresh and healthy food. The passage says many families may not live close to a grocery store, so growing fruits and vegetables in a shared space helps everyone get fresh, nutritious food. In a community garden people can grow tomatoes, carrots, herbs, and other foods that are good for the body.

Helping the environment
Second, community gardens help the environment. Plants clean the air by taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Gardens also attract bees and butterflies that help pollinate other plants, so more plants can grow. Some gardens turn food scraps into compost, which makes the soil richer and helps new plants grow better.
