I am the Wind, I run down the street
I tickle your neck and hide your seat
Sometimes I whisper like im telling a secret
Sometimes I roar like a giant in a jacket

I have messy hair that never stays put
I pull on your hat and I steal your snack from the hut
I laugh with the leaves when they dance on the ground
I hum old songs that nobody found

I like to push your kite way up high
I push the clouds so they can fly
When i'm mad I slam the doors
When im happy I skip across floors

I bring the smell of rain and far away places
I draw lines on the sand like little traces
You cant see me but you feel my hands
I move the waves and i move the lands

At night I hush to let you sleep
But I promise to play when you wake from sleep
Dont be scared i only want to play
I am the Wind, i will not stay all day
