One time my friends from school were really generous with me, and I still remember it. I had never played football before and I felt nervous and left out when they talked about games at recess. One Friday after class, Jason and Mia asked if I wanted to join them on the field. I was surprised because I thought they would only play with the kids who were already good. They shared a spare jersey and an old football with me. Jason showed me how to throw a pass, and Mia helped me practice catching. They didn’t make fun of me when I tripped or missed a catch. Instead they cheered and gave tips. During the game they passed to me so I could try scoring. Their kindness made me feel brave and included. It wasn’t just the jersey or the ball — it was their time and patience. That generosity made me a better player and a happier person.
