Read the passage from "Racing the Storm.”
"Turn the radio off!” Keri shouted. "Anastasia!” She reached out and shook the other girl’s leg. "Turn it off! I need to concentrate.”
"Yeesh!” Anastasia exclaimed. Finally giving her attention to the scene outside, she smiled. "Wow. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” she said.
"Never mind,” Keri moaned, letting go of the wheel again to turn off the radio herself. "Look, I’m going to get off this highway. I don’t know where we’ll end up, but we have to do something.”
How does the author use Anastasia’s dialogue to develop her character in this passage?
to clarify Keri’s dialogue
to reinforce Keri’s dialogue
as a contrast to Keri’s dialogue

as a contrast to Keri’s dialogue
Anastasia’s casual, distracted lines ("Yeesh!" and "Wow. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?") contrast with Keri’s urgent, focused commands, highlighting Anastasia’s more relaxed, inattentive attitude and emphasizing the tension between the two characters.
