In order to obtain the highest mark, these criteria must be met:

Organization is distinctly on target with the demands of the writing prompt.
The progression of ideas is strong or easy to follow.
The response to the prompt is unique and adds substance to the essay.
Writer's word choice is consistently precise and purposeful.
Sentences show command of sentence structure, and if any minor errors are evident, they do not detract from the message being presented.

There are four ways to build confidence and beat hesitation. First practice a skill many times until it feels normal. Second set small goals like finishing one paragraph of the unit report. The third use positive words to yourself and say I can try even when it is hard. The fourth ask a friend or teacher for help and learn from their tips.

In class we practiced speeches and that helped me speak more clearly. I set small goals during the science project and I finished step by step. I used positive words when I felt scared before the test and I slowed my breath. I also asked my teacher for feedback during peer review and I fixed my mistakes. These four steps together help me face fear and win over doubt.
