How do you define or explain the American Dream? What does this term mean? Do you believe it is achievable today?

The American Dream is the idea that anyone, regardless of background, can achieve upward mobility, economic security, and a better life through hard work, opportunity, and freedom. It usually implies homeownership, stable employment, education for one’s children, and the chance to improve one’s social standing. Today it remains attainable for some, but rising inequality, stagnant wages, unequal access to education and healthcare, and systemic barriers make it much harder for many people than in the past. Broader access to opportunity and supportive policies would be needed to make it widely achievable again.
