How can i make the vlc media player not dissapear when im watching a video and also doing something else

I’m not totally sure which “disappear” you mean — does the whole VLC window minimize/vanish when you click another app, or do the playback controls simply hide in fullscreen until you move the mouse? Also which operating system are you using (Windows / macOS / Linux)?

Common fixes (try these):

1) Keep the player visible over other apps (Always on top)
- While a video is playing, open the Video menu and enable “Always on Top” (or “Keep on top”). That pins the VLC window above other windows.
- If you want this as a default: Tools → Preferences → Interface (or View) and enable “Always on top” / “Keep on top” in the options.
- On Linux you can also use your window manager’s “Always on top / Keep above” option for the VLC window.

Note: “Always on top” won’t place VLC above a full-screen exclusive app (like some games) because of how OSes handle full-screen apps.

2) Make controls stay visible in fullscreen
If the problem is the playback controls disappearing in fullscreen:
