What is the approximate length of the diagonal of a square if the perimeter of the square is 12ft?

b. 3.5ft

and how?I was confused on this question I tried to subtract and divide but nothing work.

12/4 = 3

a^2 + b^2 = c^2
3^2 + 3^2 = c^2
9 + 9 = 18

What is the square root of 18?
