No matter what the grade level, most school kids will agree: There are too few holidays during the school year. That is why I think we should get our birthdays as a day off. If the birthday falls on a weekend, then the kid should get Friday or Monday off.
The thing is, all the other family members get a special day each year that is just for them. There is Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and even Grandparents’ Day! There is no “Kids’ Day,” however, and this is unfair. Kids should get a day when they can do whatever they please, even stay home from school! Teachers wouldn’t mind having one less kid to worry about either.
