Question

A 11.9-g sample of a gas has a volume of 5.25L at 30 degrees celsius and 762mm Hg.

If 2.4g of the same gas is added to this constant 5.25-L volume and the temperature raised to 64 degrees celsius, what is the new gas pressure?

Use PV = nRT for the 11.9 g sample and solve for n. Then moles = g/molar mass and solve for molar mass.

Then convert 2.4 g of the same gas to moles, add to the initial n in the 11.0 g sample, and use PV = nRT to calculate P.
