Not too long ago my class went on a trip to the zoo. When we went to the zoo, we saw all types of exhibits and had a great time. Yet, one specific exhibit drew my attention and really made me wonder how that happened. The exhibit had an orangutan and cat inside it. It was a truly amazing site to see. So today I'm going to write about my friend Jaiden because he's getting a new pet a snake, but he already has a dog and talk about what I believe their interactions will be like.

So, Jaiden has had his dog named Bella since she was a puppy and now, she's all grown up, and Jaiden has been begging and pleading for a snake. So now that Bella is better trained his parents said he could get one, but Bella is very playful and jumpy while a snake likes to sit in its cage and stay cool. Yet I found out that animals of all different types could become friend so that give me hope of a friendship. I believe this because in the text Unlikely Friendships for Kids in Par.1 it states " And they had just the friend in mind: a tabby cat named T.K. For some reason, the cat wasn't afraid of the grumpy orangutan. And the orangutan, who was always rough with other animals, was very gentle with T.K. The zookeepers noticed that Tonda got very angry every time they took T.K. away. But whenever they let T.K. play with Tonda, the orangutan became happy. So, they let T.K. stay with Tonda all the time.". The evidence I just stated helps to explain that maybe Jaiden's two pets could help each other in a way Bella could make the snake playful, and the snake could mellow Bella out.
I also have to factor in that Bella could scare the snake let it out of its cage anything. I believe

I also have to factor in that Bella could scare the snake or even accidentally let it out of its cage. Because of that, Jaiden and his parents should take some important safety steps. First, they should buy a very secure enclosure with a reliable lock so the snake can’t escape. Second, they should introduce the pets slowly and always with supervision — short, calm visits where Bella is on a leash and the snake stays safely inside its habitat. Third, Bella should be reminded and trained to be gentle around the snake’s space (rewarding her for calm behavior will help). Finally, Jaiden should pick a snake species known to be docile and appropriate for a household with other pets, and he should learn how to handle and read snake behavior.

If Jaiden follows those precautions, I think Bella and the snake could learn to tolerate each other and maybe even become curious companions. They might not become best friends the way the cat and orangutan did, but like the unlikely friendship in the zoo story, patience and careful introductions could lead to a peaceful relationship. With responsible supervision and care, Jaiden’s pets could coexist happily and safely.
