if x-4 is 2 greater than y+1, then by how much is x+6 greater than y?

x-4 is 2 greater than y+1
x-4 > y+1 by 2
make them equal
x-4 = y+1 + 2
x = y + 7
x+6 = y+7+6
x+6 = y+13

so what do you think?
