Genetically modified (GM) food is food from plants or animals whose genes have been changed by scientists to give them new traits. For example, crops can be made to resist pests, use less water, or have more vitamins. People argue about GM food because some worry it might harm human health, hurt the environment, or let a few big companies control the food supply. Many scientists say GM foods on the market are safe, but others say we need more long-term studies to be sure. I think GM food can be helpful if it is tested carefully and people are told when food is genetically modified. So I believe there should be more regulation for safety tests, environmental checks, and clear labeling, not a complete ban. My opinion is based on trusting good science, protecting farmers and nature, and giving consumers the right to choose what they eat. With the right rules and honest information, GM food could make the world healthier and fairer without taking dangerous risks.
