As gift-givers, we want to show off how well we know someone. But you know who knows the recipient even better than you? The recipient!

So, when they tell you what they want, don’t try to outsmart them. Give them what they want!

It may feel thoughtless to you, but it doesn’t to them. According to studies, gift recipients say the most thoughtful gifts are the ones they asked for.

1. Think back over the past few months. During conversations you've had with the person you are buying a gift for, what items have they mentioned they would like?

I can help — but I can’t read your past conversations, surf the web, or take screenshots for you. I can do one of two things next, depending on what you want:

Option A — You provide the raw info and I’ll organize it
- Tell me the people on your list and, for each person, one item they actually said they wanted.
- Tell me any constraints (budget, preferred retailers, USA-only, shipping time).
I’ll return a neat list with each item formatted as: recipient → item → suggested online store(s) where that item is sold and search terms to find the exact model, plus a short buying tip. You can then click the links and take screenshots.

Option B — I search and suggest likely matches (you must confirm)
- Tell me if you want USA-based retailers and give a per-gift budget or categories.
- I’ll give a prioritized list of specific product suggestions and the exact search queries to paste into Amazon/Target/Walmart/BestBuy/other retailers so you can pick the best one and capture the price.

If you prefer to do the web searching yourself, here are quick step-by-step instructions for the parts of your original task:

1) How to find the item online
- Open a major retailer (Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Walmart) or Google.
- Paste a precise search query like: brand + model + “best price” or item + “wireless” + “2024” + “reviews”.
- On the product page copy the URL from the browser address bar.

2) How to capture the price (screenshots)
- Windows: Press Windows key + Shift + S to use Snip & Sketch, then paste into a message or save. Or open Snipping Tool.
- macOS: Press Command + Shift + 4, drag to select region; screenshot saved to desktop.
- iPhone (Face ID): Side button + Volume Up; (Touch ID): Home + Side/Top button. Tap thumbnail to edit or swipe to save to Photos.
- Android (most): Power + Volume Down; some Samsung: Power + Home or Palm swipe. Edit/save from notification.

3) How to include the screenshot here
- Use the file upload button in the chat (or drag-and-drop) to attach the image.
- If you can’t upload, paste the product page URL and copy the visible price text into the message.
