Midpoint M = ((-6 + -2)/2, (-5 + 4)/2) = (-8/2, -1/2) = (-4, -0.5).

To graphically show it: click once at A = (-6, -5) and once at B = (-2, 4) to plot the segment AB. Then plot the midpoint at (-4, -0.5) (or (-4, -1/2)).
