Use the distributive property twice (factor each term in the first parentheses across the second):

(2x - 2)(x - 6) = 2x(x - 6) - 2(x - 6)
= (2x^2 - 12x) - (2x - 12)
= 2x^2 - 12x - 2x + 12
= 2x^2 - 14x + 12.

You can also factor out 2: 2(x^2 - 7x + 6).
