Ecosystems

All things on Earth are important. They are like a spider web! Things need each other to grow and live. Ecosystems are where things grow and live.



There are two parts of an ecosystem. One part is the living things. The other part is the place where they live. Ecosystems can be small like a pool of water. Ecosystems can be big too like a forest.



There is energy in all ecosystems. Energy lets living things move. It also helps them grow. Some animals get energy from eating plants. Some animals get energy from eating other animals.



Energy moves in food webs. Plants are at the start of a food web. Some animals eat plants. Some animals eat other animals. They are all part of the food web.
