With a normal distribution and a mu=40 and sd =4, how can I figure out what percent of the area lies to the right of a reported score of x=45?

My favourite webpage for these type of questions, do don't even have to find the z-scores.

http://davidmlane.com/hyperstat/z_table.html

just fill in the mean as 40, SD as 4 and click on the "above" bubble and enter 45

you should get 0.105650
so 10.57% of the area is to the right of 45
