Each person: 7 ÷ 4 = 7/4 = 1 3/4 lb.

To the food pantry: 2 × 7/4 = 7/2 = 3 1/2 lb.

For apple pies: 3 1/2 − 1 2/3 = 7/2 − 5/3 = (21−10)/6 = 11/6 = 1 5/6 lb.

Answers: 1 3/4 lb each; 3 1/2 lb to the pantry; 1 5/6 lb for pies.
