please explain how 24 divided by 2.5 equals 9.6

Think of multiplying both 24 and 2.5 by 4, so that you will be dividing 96 by 10.
96/10=9.6, so therefore 24/2.5 = 9.6.

Multiply 24 by 2.5 and we get.....
24 times 4 is 96!
2.5 times 4 is 10!
So than you take the point off of 1.0 and u get 10
Therefore we do 96 divided by 10 ad than we get..
10 goes into 96 9 times there is a remainder of 6 so we add the decimal and we get 9.6!! Yay if u still don't get it I'm SOO SORRY:)
