The story involves a conflict between faith and fitting in.
Reason: realistic fiction deals with believable, everyday situations and social conflicts—here the struggle between practicing faith publicly and fitting in is a realistic, plausible dilemma. The other choices describe narrative voice or feelings, not what makes it "realistic" fiction.
